TNL as a creative school aim to foster curiosity and self directed learning in students. We prioritize in developing student’s creativity, character building, critical thinking, and problem solving skills through non-traditional teaching methods. Our nature bounded and open ended pedagogy is reflected through lessons journal completed by our students and teachers.
-
Our students get between 45 minutes to up to 2 hours of outdoor learning daily, based on age group and also different lessons. Our children attend age-appropriate lessons on gardening, sports, messy play, and even arts during this duration of time.
Children when in nature bound, develop a better sense of care for the environment. Experiential learning outdoors also provides real-world context to children, which is crucial to nurture new generations that are able to face and address modern environmental challenges.
-
Interacting with the natural environment introduces unique challenges that stimulate creativity and critical thinking - skills essential to a child’s academic growth.
In early childhood, it’s important to establish learning priorities. At TNL, we believe that through progressive development, children’s growth and performance will naturally unfold when play is purposeful, open-ended, and connected to their world.
-
All our lessons and subjects are tailored to suit the development milestones of children based on age group. Our exciting lessons include outdoor sports and games, gardening, art, reading, music, and science. Language learning includes English, Bahasa Melayu, and Mandarin Chinese.
